Apartment H: contemporary open-plan living
Even the smallest apartment can become an ode to luxury and design. Find out how architect Hilla Havkin approached a total makeover of this Tel Aviv home
Can you tell us in your own words a little about the project. What was the inspiration behind the design?
This project is a renovation of an old, maze-like apartment, destined for a modern, minimalist couple. The outdated layout had me needing to break down every partition, open up the entire space and clean everything out.
Once all this was done, I wanted to keep the light feeling that was created, and opted for a clean, airy design.
Why did you choose Salvatori?
Salvatori, as opposed to other manufacturers, has a wide range of products and materials that work together. This lets me create a total look in bathrooms I design.
I love working with Salvatori in my projects. Thanks to the high production quality along with the cleanliness of the designs, I never need to compromise.
What particularly appeals about the Salvatori products you chose?
In the master bathroom, I chose tiles and a stool to match them. I love that the grid created on the walls is like a beautiful work of art, which speaks the same design language as the rest of the house.
In the guest bathroom, I chose a sink with an integrated drawer. This gives a practical solution for such a small space, along with a subtle wow effect.
How did you find the experience of working with Salvatori?
Perfect! The products arrived on time, and looked exactly like we wanted. The final result looks amazing, and upgraded the spaces tremendously.
Is the client happy with the end result?
Definitely! They were very involved in the process, and it came out exactly as they expected it.
