Classic, timeless and sought after the world over, Bianco Carrara is considered the marble “par excellence”. Used for some of the world’s most famous buildings and sculptures, it comes in a variety of cool white tones with veining ranging from pale to dark grey.
This sample combines Bianco Carrara with our
Raw texture.
Designed by Piero Lissoni, Raw represents the ruggedness of hewn wood, translated in stone to create a nuanced play of light and shadow.
“I worked with Gabriele Salvatori on this surface treatment for marble, to increase and extend the rough cut of pieces of stone. What we got was a series of stones cut like pieces of wood, transforming the precise, mechanical cut into a rough cut, creating an ‘engraved’ effect on the surface. We revolutionised the technological element, turning it into a handcrafted process, and the result was an even surface, which could be laid, for example, using a tongue and groove technique, like parquet.”

Suitable for internal and external use including wet areas, Raw tiles come in two configurations:

• Packed in crates containing an equal mix of three different lengths
• Packed in crates containing a uniform size of tile.
