We had the pleasure of being involved in a project in Herzliya Pituach, one of Tel Aviv’s most luxurious neighbourhoods. We talked about the idea behind it with architect Mano Shalem and the project’s developer

Can you tell us in your own words a little about the project. What was the inspiration behind the design?

(Architect) The project is an entrepreneurship for an investment and the client's and architect's vision was of a contemporary unique house made of elegant natural materials and finishes, with a clear indoor/outdoor feeling and open space design. The swimming pool layout touches the house, becoming inseparable from the residence. Large window spans are designed to reflect the outdoor landscape.

Why did you decide to invest in this project?

(Developer) Our company's goal is to make something unique in this luxurious area of Israel, the kind of project featuring finishes and materials that high-end clients wouldn’t have encountered before.

*Why did you choose Salvatori and how did you find the experience of working with us? *

(Architect) Salvatori’s design vision is very unique in terms of texture, quality and conceptual design. This suits our studio's conceptual design in terms of elegance and unique products. The experience of working with your company was great and we found the service and response very professional.

What particularly appeals about the Salvatori products you chose? Did you find it easy to agree on them?

(Both) Our studio's clients give full respect to our materials palette and choices. They trust our vision, but of course there is mutual consultation and decision making. Salvatori's strength lies in making very unique, elegant and creative textures.

Are you happy with the result? Does it reflect your original vision?

(Developer) I'm more than happy with the result, and it certainly reflects our initial vision.

Looking at the completed project, what are you proudest of? What makes it particularly special?

(Both) What we’re proudest of is that the end result is nicer than the initial renderings and design.

At Salvatori, we believe there is a real link between music and design. Are you happy to share your 10 favourite songs that you listen to when you’re designing or looking for inspiration?

(Architect) I also believe in the relationship between music and design. Here are my 12 favourite songs:
Time – David Bowie
Still Dreaming – Kanye West
Pictures of You – The Cure
Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk – Rufus Wainwright
It’s no Good – Depeche Mode
Landslide – Fleetwood Mac
Chasing Cars – Snow Patrol
