All our finished products leave our Tuscan premises pre-sealed. Since we do not like to paint the surface of our lovely stones with transparent paints or resins, we apply three coats of the highest possible level of protective sealant. This helps to preserve the product without compromising the wonderful natural look and feel of the stone.
That said, please bear in mind that there is no sealer on the market that can make natural stone 100% stain proof, especially if you leave the staining agent on it for a prolonged period. The sealant acts as a temporary barrier that allows you to have a few hours between the moment a staining substance (for example, wine or coffee) comes into contact with the stone and the moment you wipe it off. The important thing is to act quickly before a substance is absorbed into the stone, as that is when it causes staining.
Please DO NOT use cleaners containing abrasive cleansers, ammonia, bleach, acid or even those “homemade remedies” made from lemon, vinegar and the like.
If you are a particularly assiduous cleaner or you have difficulty removing a mark, you can use specialist stone cleaning products and, if to set your mind at rest you can periodically apply a new coat of sealant.
For cleaning stone, wood and metal, simply use a soft cloth with water or a neutral detergent.
WOOD
Please avoid using detergents on wood and always dry it carefully after cleaning to prevent streaks or patches forming.
Remember that wood is a natural material and can be delicate and photosensitive. Exposure to light, heat or damp may cause slight discolouration or minor adjustments in size, but this is entirely normal and shouldn’t be considered a defect.
SHIPPING
As a rule, all orders destined within Italy should arrive within 1-3 working days, whilst for countries within the EU the estimated delivery time is 2-6 working days and 8-10 for other destinations.
We process all orders received for smaller items weighing less than 70 kg each morning (Monday to Friday) before midday (CET or UTC +1) and usually they will be dispatched the same day. Orders placed after midday (CET) Monday to Friday will be dispatched the following working day. Once your order has been sent, we will send you an email with a tracking link so that you can monitor your delivery.
For bulkier items (tables, storage pieces, special editions, bathtubs and mirrors), delivery times may vary, based on the dimensions of the product and availability in our warehouse. For a more detailed explanation, please click here.
ASSEMBLY
If you would like a personalised estimate, please contact our customer care team. Please note that all our products are supplied with detailed, easy-to-follow instructions which you can also download from our website.
RETURNS
We always hope that our clients will be delighted with our products, but we understand that sometimes it may be necessary to return an item. This must be done within 14 days from the date of delivery, using the same courier or shipping provider that delivered it to you.
All our products are accompanied by a returns form, so simply complete this and follow the instructions to organise your return request.
Where free delivery is included with a purchase, there are also no delivery costs if you decide to return a product. In all other situations, we will deduct the costs of returning a product from the final refund, which will be made via the same payment means used for your original purchase.
Please note that we cannot accept a return if a product has been used or personalised in any way. Every item must be returned in its original packing and adequately packed to ensure it travels safely and reaches us in perfect condition
Once we have authorised a refund, it will be made within 5 working days from the date we receive the product back.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Payment can be made securely by either Paypal or a debit or credit card which will be processed through the Stripe platform which accepts all major debit and credit cards.
We use these platforms as they ensure your payment details are protected through SSL encryption technology. Your data will be used only to complete your purchase transaction and to process a refund if necessary.
Your debit or credit card will only be charged after we have verified your card details and received authorisation from your card issuer to go ahead and process the payment.

Lost Stones came about as part of Salvatori’s mission to reclaim and recycle as much material as possible and in the process, give it a new life and value. Its story started in 2019 during a conversation with Piero Lissoni in which we started thinking about how we might create a new destiny for abandoned, unloved stone, restoring it to its original splendour. Gabriele Salvatori and Lissoni embarked on a series of visits to storehouses and yards scattered all over Italy and discovered treasure troves of inestimable historic value, including the very stone used for Paris’s Notre Dame cathedral and marble left over from Mies Van Der Rohe’s famous Barcelona Pavilion. Drawing on the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi which has been used for centuries to repair broken ceramics, our artisans then filled every crack and imperfection with a gold-coloured resin, giving life to something truly special and unique in a reinterpretation of the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi used for centuries to repair broken ceramics. The Lost Stones texture is an evolution of the original project. Exclusively available on a made-to-measure basis, each slab is cut and finished with the precision of a bespoke garment, taking into account where it will be fitted and the type of stone chosen. In its Bianco Carrara version, Lost Stones brings an incredible luminosity and touch of restrained glamour to any space.

The small holes you may see on the surface are a natural characteristic of Bianco Carrara and should not be considered defects.
The images shown on this page are indicative of the colour and characteristics of our products but cannot be 100% representative. Being made from natural materials, every tile or slab is unique in terms of tonality, colour and characteristic.
These are all subject to variation depending on the type of stone and the conditions in the quarry from where it comes.
